Weight limitations

In the case of the Chardham Helicopter Yatra, it is assumed that the average weight of each passenger is 75 kg. In case a passenger weighs more than this weight, he will have to pay an extra Rs. 2000 for each kilogram above this weight. The total weight of all the passengers flying in the chopper should not cross 450 kg.

The total baggage allowed to each pilgrim is 5 kg. Exceeding the prescribed luggage is not allowed in the Chardham Helicopter Yatra.

The helicopter trips are dependent on weather conditions. In case of delay of helicopter flights due to unfavourable weather conditions or other reasons, your trip would be postponed to the next possible flying schedule.

In order to ensure the safety of the passengers, the itinerary can be changed at any point in time if required. Weather conditions, ATC clearance, VVIP operations, and other considerations can affect the schedule of the flights.

In case of an extended stay, any extra costs involved for the hotel and travelling shall be borne by the passengers.

• Don't hurry or push yourself too much when you are looking around the temples.

• Slippery shoes are not recommended. It is better to wear stable and comfortable shoes that provide good grip and safety.

Itinerary for Chardham Helicopter Yatra

Day 1 – Arrival in Dehradun 

Reach Dehradun by afternoon; we will receive you here and help you transfer to your hotel. In the evening, you will be briefed about the details of the Chardham Helicopter Yatra.

Carry only necessities (5 kg max) in a soft duffel bag. The rest of your luggage can be safely kept at the hotel cloak room. Sleep well as your spiritual journey starts tomorrow.

Day 2 – Dehradun to Yamunotri 

Your journey starts with transferring to the Sahastradhara Helipad in Dehradun. After that, fly through a beautiful flight and reach Kharsali Helipad. This is the starting point of your pilgrimage to Yamunotri.

Check into the hotel and after relaxing, you will be taken to the temple of Yamunotri by palanquin or pony. After VIP darshan at the temple, come back to Kharsali and have an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 – Yamunotri to Gangotri

Start your day by flying in a helicopter from Harsil. You will get to see the beautiful scenery of the Himalayas during your helicopter journey. After landing at Harsil, take the drive to the Gangotri temple to get your VIP darshan facilities.

After paying your respect, spend the rest of your day in the serene environment of Harsil. 

Day 4 – Gangotri to Kedarnath

Day 5 - Kedarnath to Badrinath

Day 6 – Badrinath to Dehradun

Dehradun (Sahastradhara Helidrome), Your Main Base

Chardham Helicopter Yatra starts from Sahastradhara Helidrome, Dehradun. Make sure to get to the helipad at least 60 to 90 minutes before the scheduled departure, and don't forget to bring a valid photo ID and a small bag weighing not more than 5 kg.
