Itinerary

Day 1: Srinagar (Arrival/ Sightseeing)

Morning arrival at Srinagar Airport, meet our executive and transfer to the hotel in Srinagar. Freshen up and proceed for sightseeing of the famous Mughal garden, visit Nishat Bagh which was built by Asif Khan brother-in-law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. Then visit Shalimar bagh built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jahan. These beautiful gardens are situated on the mountains on the bank of Dal Lake. The distance and total travel time between Srinagar to the mentioned gardens are about 15 kilometres. En route visit a carpet weaving factory and also enjoy a Shikara ride on the famous Dal Lake. Night halt at the hotel in Srinagar.

Srinagar- Srinagar is the largest city and the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and the Dal and Anchar lakes. The city is known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts like the Kashmir shawl (made of pashmina and cashmere wool), and also dry fruits.

 

Day 2: Srinagar to Pahalgam (100 kilometres/ 3 hours)

Next morning check out from the houseboat in the lake at Srinagar after breakfast and drive for 100 kilometres approximately which would take up to 3 hours to reach Pahalgam from Srinagar. Upon arrival, visit the “Village of Shepherds”. En route visit world famous Saffron growing fields and Awantipura ruins (9th century). Later drive back to the hotel in Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar. 

Pahalgam- Pahalgam is a town near Anantnag city in the Anantnag district of the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a popular tourist destination and hill station. Its lush green meadows and pristine waters attract thousands of tourists from all over the world each year. Pahalgam is associated with the annual pilgrimage to the shrine Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari is located 16 kilometres from Pahalgam.

 

Day 3: Srinagar - Gulmarg - Srinagar (60 kilometres/ 2 hours)

In the morning after breakfast start your day excursion tour of Gulmarg from Srinagar and en route visit Tangmarg. Tangmarg local sightseeing by car on GangotriTravels. Upon arrival at Gulmarg, enjoy the Gulmarg ropeway gondola ride and sightseeing. Later get back to the hotel in Srinagar, have dinner and overnight stay at Srinagar.

Gulmarg- Gulmarg is known as Gulmarag 'meadow of flowers' in Kashmiri. It is a town, a hill station, and a popular skiing destination. It is located at a distance of 58 km from Srinagar. The town is situated in the Pir Panjal Range in the Western Himalayas and lies within the boundaries of Gulmarg Wildlife Sanctuary.

 

Day 4: Srinagar to Kargil Via Sonamarg 

In the morning after sunrise, have your breakfast and continue your drive from Srinagar to Kargil. En route visit Zojila Pass, Sonmarg and Drass (secomnd coldest inhabited place in the world). Local Sightseeing. Upon arrival check in to the hotel in Kargil. You can also go for shopping, have your dinner and overnight stay in Kargil.

 

Day 5: Kargil to Leh (220 kilometres/ 5 hours)

In the early Morning check out from the hotel and drive towards Leh from Kargil, en route visit Lamayuru, then drive to cross the indus river and later on reach Alchi. On arrival at Leh, check in to the hotel. Acclimatise yourself at the high altitude of (11,500 feet / 3500 metres) above sea level.

Kargil- Kargil is a city and a joint capital of the union territory of Ladakh. It is the second-largest city in Ladakh after Leh. It is the centre point of the Suru River.

 

Day 6: Leh: Local Sightseeing by Car

In the morning check out from the hotel and visit the local area in Leh. Visit popular tourist destinations in Leh which are included in our tour package. Get iconic views of Shey Palace, Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, Thikshey, Hemis and Stok Sightseeing. After having fun and exploring Leh, get back to the hotel and night halt at Leh.

Day 7: Leh to Nubra (160 kilometres/ 05 hours)

Check out from the hotel in Leh in the morning, after breakfast and continue your drive to Nubra Valley. Nubra valley is popularly known as the valley of flowers. It is situated north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Nubra lies at an altitude of about 10,000 feet, above sea level and is drained largely by the Shiyok River. The Siachen River forms its single largest tributary. Via Khardungla (highest in the world, 18380 feet). In the afternoon, upon arrival check in to the camp. Rest of the day is free to explore Deskit and Hunder villages and camel safari in sand dunes between Deskit and Hunder village. Night halt at Nubra.

 

Day 8: Nubra Valley to Pangong (280 kilometres/ 7 hours)

In the morning check out from Nubra Valley Camp and drive to Pangong Lake via Shayok. En route visit Diskit. Upon arrival in Pangong Lake, check in to the camp. Overnight stay at Pangong.

Nubra- Nubra, also called Dumra, is a historical region of Ladakh. It is inhabited areas from a tri-armed valley cut by the Nubra and Shyok rivers. Its Tibetan name Dumra means "valley of flowers". Demands have been raised and BJP has hinted at the creation of Nubra as a new district. Diskit, the headquarters of Nubra, is 120 km north of Leh, the capital of Ladakh.

Diskit- Diskit is a village and headquarters of the Nubra tehsil and the Nubra subdivision in the Leh district of Ladakh, India. The Diskit Monastery is located in this village.

 

Day 9: Pangong to Leh (226 kilometres/ 6 hours)

Morning check out from Pangong camp and continue your drive to Leh. En route visit Changla pass, Thiksey Monastery, 03 Idiot School and Sindhu Ghat sightseeing. On arrival Leh check in to the hotel and the rest of the day was free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.

Pangong- Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake is a drained lake spanning eastern Ladakh and West Tibet. It is divided into five sub-lakes, called Pangong Tso, Tso Nyak, Rum Tso (twin lakes) and Nyak Tso. Approximately 50% of the length of the overall lake lies within Tibet in China, 40% in Ladakh.

 

Day 10: Leh (Departure)
